Boise School District
At the direction of the District Executive Council and Superintendent, the Boise School District is working on guidelines for building use in the fall by outside groups. School will start virtually on August 17, Facilitron calendars will open in September. At that time, we will comply with the guidelines set forth by the CDC and Central District Health -- understanding that we at this moment do not know what the future situation might be or what the expectations for gatherings will require. Currently, we are in Central District Health’s Category 2, and we will respect the current City of Boise guidelines concerning gatherings.

Community Spaces for All Your Activities
Welcome to the Boise School District! You may know that the City of Boise was named the 2nd most livable small city in the United States by Forbes Magazine in 2012 and one of the top ten best places to live in the U.S. by U.S. News & world Report in 2016. When Forbes ranked the top one hundred cities by subcategory, Boise ranked #1 in one area – education. We’re here to provide an excellent education for our students, and to prepare each and every student for college, career, and citizenship.

We are a district of more than 26,000 students and employ 4,300 people, of whom 1,700 are certified staff. In the district, there are 33 elementary schools, 8 junior high schools, and 5 senior high schools. We offer a variety of specialized programs, including Montessori, Dual Language, Classical, International, Harbor, Full-day and Highly Gifted programs at elementary, to the Treasure Valley Math and Science Center, Dennis Professional-Technical Center, and the state’s preeminent Advanced Placement program at the secondary level.
