SJUSD outdoor spaces open for requests in 2021. All renters must acknowledge that they have read SAN JOSE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT'S UPDATED TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND APPLICATION AND AGREEMENT FOR THE USE OF FACILITIES CORONAVIRUS ADDENDUM terms and conditions carefully, in its entirety and fully understand its terms. All renters must also follow Santa Clara County guidelines and complete the Santa Clara County social distancing form.
Until County guidelines change, SJUSD will NOT be approving requests that involve contact sports and/or games.

Community Spaces for All Your Activities
Trace offers a strong K-5 Academic, Visual, and Performing Arts program that provides students unique opportunities to integrate academics through art, drama, vocal music, orchestra, and band. In addition, Trace continues to welcome parental involvement and the level of parent participation

increases every year. The curriculum at Trace follows the SJUSD pacing guide and benchmark assessments are used to measure growth and guide instruction four times per year. Staff engages in ongoing data analysis to strive towards meeting growth targets and move all students towards grade level proficiency. Bilingual classes are provided for Spanish and English speaking students. Our school vision, “Artistic! United! Academically Excited!” guides all decisions and programs at Merritt Trace Elementary School.
