Albuquerque Public Schools is the largest of New Mexico's 89 school districts, serving about a fourth of the state's public school students in 143 schools scattered across 1,200 square miles.

- Our students live in the city of Albuquerque and the towns of Corrales and Los Ranchos, the counties of Bernalillo and Sandoval, and the pueblos of Isleta and Laguna.
- Nearly 10,000 students in the metropolitan area attend APS-authorized charter schools.
- APS is the largest employer in Albuquerque, providing full-time jobs for more than 11,000 people including about 5,300 teachers.
- The District has 13 million square feet of instructional space.
