School District of Lee County COVID-19 Facility Use Requirements Addendum:

The following addendum contains additional guidelines and protocols that are the responsibility of the renter. This addendum and the information contained herein shall be effective immediately for all groups using School District of Lee County (“District”) facilities. This addendum shall be in addition to all existing “District” policies, guidelines and general terms and conditions.

All individuals attending the renter's function must have their temperature checked before entering any building or field area. Those individuals with a temperature above 100.4 degrees or displaying symptoms of COVID-19 shall not be permitted at the facility.

All individuals attending the renter's function must sign in upon entering the facility and provide their full name, address, phone number and email address.

The renter's gathering shall not exceed 50% of the capacity of the space being leased.

The use of facial coverings is strongly recommended.

Renter will provide 60% or greater alcohol-based hand sanitizer to all attendees.

A social distancing plan that meets or exceeds CDC guidelines shall be provided by the renter for their event. The CDC/Guidelines can be found at the following link sick/social-distancing.html

If restroom facilities are required, they will be identified, if available, in the Facilitron system. There will be an additional COVID-19 Cleaning upcharge when requesting restrooms as outlined in the Facilitron reservation system. A social distancing plan must be included for restroom use.

The renter shall immediately notify the School District of Lee County’s Risk Management at 239-337-8321 should any individual who attended an event on school “District” property test positive for COVID-19.

The re-opening of “District” schools will be at the discretion of the “District” Administration.

Approval of all reservations shall be in the sole discretion of “District” Administration and is subject to the availability of custodial staff to manage the opening and closing of the facility.

Please note that facility usage may be suspended at any time at the sole discretion of the "District”.


The renter recognizes that there is presently a significant element of risk of COVID-19 transmission when any group of people gather. The renter has reviewed and understands the risks reflected in the local, state, and federal alerts and guidelines. The renter assumes all risks, known and unknown, arising from the use and occupancy of the “District” facility, including risks from COVID-19. The renter assumes full responsibility for any such claim, demand, or liability arising from their use and occupancy of the District facility.


To the fullest extent permitted by law, renter agrees to defend, indemnify and hold the Lee County School District free and harmless from any loss, damage, liability, or expense that may arise in whole or in part from the Facility Rental Application, Agreement and Addendum for the use of District facilities as it relates to any exposure to COVID-19. The defense and indemnity obligations shall apply notwithstanding any other individual, group, or entity’s active or passive negligence.

By signing (or electronically agreeing to) this document, the renter has read, understands and voluntarily agrees to all the terms and conditions specified within this document.
